Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists of Northwestern Pennsylvania employs six graduate level educated Audiologists. The Audiology Department is responsible for the evaluation and management of our patient's hearing and balance problems. The Physicians are assisted by the diagnostic information supplied by the Audiologists in treating hearing loss with either surgery or assistive listening devices. The Hearing Aid Center is the section of our office dedicated to the care and management of our patients who utilize amplification. Each patient's hearing loss is first scrutinized to determine the degree and possible cause of the loss. Some of the causes of those impairments are created by noise exposure, accidental injury, heredity, medical problems such as infection, birth anomalies, and any combination of the above that accumulate over a lifetime.

Our Audiology Department has been in existence for over twenty-five years. All ages of patients have had their hearing loss diagnosed in our office. Early intervention to improve hearing ability is an asset at any age. We are proud of our ability to diagnose hearing loss for infants as young as a few days old. Many of the patients fit with their hearing aids within the first few years of life are now adults raising children of their own. Our office conducts well over 10,000 audiometric evaluations yearly.
